Social Events


 

Reception and Opening Ceremony

The Ice Breaker Reception will be held at the Hall of the Municipal Theatre on August 19th, 8:00 P.M. The Opening Ceremony will also take place at the Cabo Frio Municipal Theatre, on August 20th, at 8:30 A.M.


Excursion

We are planning a day out in Buzios city (28 km far from Cabo Frio) on Wednesday, August 23rd. We will meet some of the most beautiful beaches of Buzios and will stop at one of them for lunch and bath. A schooner cruise can also be arranged but it is not included in the registration fee.


Closing Dinner

The Closing Dinner will take place at Cabo Frio Costa Azul Club, on August 25th. All attendees are encouraged to participate and special shuttle buses will be available for transportation.


Accompanying Persons Program

The Accompanying Person registration fee includes all the social events above described. In addition, guided tours around and within Cabo Frio are being organized and information will be available upon arrival.


Post Workshop Tours

Those who wish to enjoy an extended stay, traveling around Brazil, may contact the Congress Secretariat (Meta Marketing e Eventos) for further information. Some of the available tours are:

Manaus: The state capital of the Amazonas, Manaus is the largest northern city of Brazil and main gateway to the Amazon region. A visit to Manaus is also an adventure with river cruises and personal contact with natural reserves of plan and wildlife.

Brasilia: Brazil's capital, Brasilia is a city designed and built for the future. All visitors are fascinated by its modern architecture and urban layout, design by famous Brazilian architects Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa.

Salvador: The historical capital of Brazil, Salvador is located at the upper tip of the fabled "Bay of all Saints". It is located back to the Atlantic Ocean, 1000 miles north of Rio de Janeiro.

Iguacu Falls: Located on the Brazil border with Argentina and Paraguay, the falls are considered one of the major wonders of the world.
