Venue - Observatorio Nacional Observatorio Nacional is an institute for research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics, operating under the administration of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. It is located in the Sao Cristovao district, not far from Rio de Janeiro downtown. The hotels we have selected to accommodate MT-DIW5 participants are located at the famous Ipanema and Copacabana districts, with their beautiful beaches and intense night life. A shuttle bus will be probably available to take participants to/from hotels from/to Observatorio Nacional. Registration Participants in the 15th Workshop on Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth, who also wish to participate in the 5th Workshop on MT Data Interpretation in Observatorio Nacional immediately prior to the main workshop, will be able to do so when they register for the main workshop. However, this pre-registration is essential as space is limited for the MT-DIW5. Please fill in available form to proceed your registration in the MT-DIW5. It is the intention of the organizers of the MT Data Interpretation Workshop and the Induction Workshop that the participants in the former also attend the latter. If there are exceptional circumstances preventing you from attending the Induction Workshop, and you want to participate only in the MT Data Interpretation Workshop, please contact Sergio Fontes or Alan Jones to discuss your particular situation and separate registration. Participation in the MT-DIW5 involves agreeing to analyze the MT-DIW5 datasets that has been already made available to participants through internet. They are the synthetic datasets COPROD2S1 and COPROD2S2, and the corrected Kayabe dataset, previously investigated during the MT-DIW3. Access to the three datasets can be found in one of the MTNET pages. Attendees will be expected to come to the MT-DIW5 ready to discuss their analysis and interpretation.
